Homecoming 2024 Recap
Mountain Brook High School celebrated Homecoming the week of September 23-27 on campus with fun and creative events for students each day. This year, SGA donated their proceeds for the week to the LuluGStrong campaign and the Gribbin family and totaled $6,280 in their efforts.
The week’s events are highlighted below:
Monday (9/23): Carnival: MBHS kicked off the week with a lively carnival held at Spartan Stadium during 3rd through 6th periods. The Full Moon Food Truck was on site, generously donating all sales to Lulu. The day’s dress up theme was purple.
Tuesday (9/24): Powderpuff Game: The Childhood Cancer Awareness Club hosted an exciting Powderpuff Game during club time in Spartan Stadium. A special 4x100 relay race took place during halftime, featuring both teachers and students.
Wednesday (9/25): Dance: Over 850 students enjoyed a fun-filled night at the school dance held in the PE gym on Wednesday evening. Decorations fit the week’s theme of “Mount Olympus.”
Thursday (9/26): Field Day: Clubs competed in various field day events after school in Spartan Stadium starting at 5:00 PM.
Friday (9/27): Homecoming The final day of the week was packed with festivities! The long-awaited pep rally took place in the morning followed by the afternoon parade through the streets of Mountain Brook and ended on Church Street in Crestline Village. The day concluded with the Homecoming football game versus Homewood where the Spartans picked up a 27-22 win.
