The Mountain Brook High School varsity boys and girls cross country teams defended their state championships on Saturday, November 9 in Oakville, AL. The girls team total amounted to 44 points and four Spartans finished in the top-15 to obtain All-State honors:

• Anna Erdberg - 3
• Emelia White - 4
• Kennedy Hamilton - 12
• Francesca Demarco - 13

The boys totaled 62 points and cruised to victory as second-place Cullman was far behind with 130 points. Oliver Mange and Brooks Bazemore earned All-State for the Spartans.

The girls championship is their 4th in a row and 27th in MBHS girls cross country program history. The boys wont their third straight title and 17th in program history. Congratulations to all of our Spartan runners and coaches!
